Nature vs. Nurture 11/9/10
I believe that the reason for the way that I am right now is because of nurture. If I had been born into a different family, I would probably want to be a different person than i am today. I could possibly look different with a different hair color and different clothes. For example, I'm not allowed to dye my hair but if I had been born into a different family, I might be able to dye my hair and therefore, I would look different. I think that nurture is the only deciding factor in who a person is. A person is, in my definition, what others allow them to be. A person doesn't just grow up from the way they were born into the same exact person. A person has to be taught to do certain and to follow certain rules. The environment around a person is what helps a person grow physically and intellectually. Another example would be if I was born into a family that rarely talked to each other. My family is huge and we talk to everyone and everything that moves. If I had been born into a family where they rarely talked to one another, I could possibly be silent and less likely to want to talk to other people.
