Alzheimers Disease
I think that Alzheimer's disease is a growing problem in the world and everywhere. I think that the disease has caused a lot of stress and problems for patients and for the family of patients. I think that Alzheimer's disease has grown over the past year and so many people have such a high chance in getting it. I think that a cure needs to be found so that many people can go on living their lives and not having this problem. This problem has caused people to lose total awareness of who they are and what they stand for. In this matter, I think that people need to find a cure because other people are missing out on their lives. I have not personally suffered from having a family member with Alzheimer's in the family but I know that it can be very difficult. I can just imagine the pain that a family goes through when trying to deal with and decide what is best for their loved one. I hope that a cure is found for Alzheimer's disease because it will make life in the last years a lot better and their will be less to worry about. I can only hope that technology, medicine, and science combine together rather quickly to make sure that people with this disease are saved.

Bandura Blog
My parent thinks that my cellphone, the television, my computer, and my ipod are all negative influences on me. My dad thinks that they distract me from being as great as I can be. My dad also thinks that the navigation system in my car distracts me from my driving because I often try and program it while I am driving my car. I also can agree with my dad in saying that if I wasn't as busy with technology, I could possibly do a lot better in school.
In my life, I am certain that I have imitated people that I know because I look up to them. I know that my sister is someone who I look up to a lot. When I was younger, I always used to imitate my sister and copy her. I tried to be just like her because I thought that she was so cool. I thought that she was someone that I wanted to be just like as a young child. I also know that I used to imitate some of my characters from my favorite television shows. I always watch One Tree Hill and one of the characters is named Sophia Bush or “Brook.” When I was younger and I watched the show, I used to pretend that I was Brook and that her life was mine. So to do this, I would try and dress, talk, and act like her because I liked her character so much on the television show. I also think that my mom has had a large impact on who I am As a young child and even now, I always admired my mother’s life and what she did. I wanted to and still want to be just like her when I am older in the ways she dressed, acted, worked, and cooked.

Nicholas Carr Internet and Focusing April 25, 2011
I agree with Carr in his thinking that the Internet doesn't really do us good. It has made it almost completely to nearly impossible to concentrate on any given activity for more than a few minutes. I think that the internet does make a lot smarter and more proficient in activities that have to do with the internet. I also think that they make us dumber in the sense that nobody is able to concentrate on anything they do on the computer for more than a minute. To me, I think that patience is important and I remember that famous saying, "Great things take time." I completely agree with this saying because most of the great things that a person wants takes a lot of work and patience. The internet negatively reinforces a person's patience level and I think that the internet has made a generation of computer generated drones that can't stay focused for an extended amount of time. this could even be perhaps why SAT scores and testing scores are down because the kids can't focus on the test even if they do know all of the information. I agree with Carr's conclusions completely because the internet has made us impatient and has turned us into "high-speed date-processing machines."

My learning Style 4/13/11
I was not at all surprised by the test results because I do like to socialize with other people a lot. I am happiest when I am in the company of other people. Other people make me happy and just generally talking to other people makes me very happy. I enjoy learning by seeing an example or by seeing what others do. I learn best when I am in the company of others and taking directions from them or following an example that is best. I love being with people, which is why school is a good place for me, I love being in the company of others. I think that this is due to the fact that a lot of the time I was left home alone as a kid and I hated being alone because it would scare me and I would think people were in my house. I love being in the company of other people because I feel that they will protect me or help me in some sort of way.
I think that the test was very accurate in the sense that all 3 have told me that I work well with other people and learn best with other people and from other people. Specific classes and teachers that are best for my learning group wold be friendly, understanding teachers that would most likely help me and socialize with me as a way for me to understand what is going on in class. As for my job, I think that best job for me would be one where I could socialize a lot with other people because it's what I do best. I love being with other people because it makes me happy, feel safe, and learn on a more social level.

Motivation of me and the Famous
Compare and contrast the forces that motivate you to the motives of the individuals interviewed in the film. Which individuals were similar to you? Which individuals were different? How did being “born rich” affect their motivations? How do you think your motivations be different if you were “born rich” like them?
The things that motivated people in the movie were other people and money. Money motivated them not to work hard and earn things for themselves. Instead, in the film, money motivated them to be afraid of handling so much money. For me, I am not motivated by any money that I have. I am motivated by my dad, the hopes f getting a good life, and my family. Being born rich in the European heirs case did not motivate him to do anything but sit around doing drugs and smoking. Like I think I would choose to do, a few of them still aspire to obtain a job and find something that they are passionate at. If I was born rich, I think that I would probably have a problem with being motivated to do anything. I think that I would still want to do anything but I would have the mindset that if that didn't pan out, it would be okay basically and that I would still be okay because I had all of that money. I think that being born rich would ultimately effect me very badly. I believe that everyone should work for what they have because it would then make everyone a lot more appreciative of their possessions.

3rd MP- The Lottery? 4/7/11
I think that I would be motivated to still have a job and actually do something in the world. I think that I would still want to have some sort of meaning to my life by still having a job. If I had won $319 million, I would say that I would definitely donate more than half to different charities and then the rest would be for me and my family. I would divide up my money by helping out my family and those that need help in my family. I would probably live a different life but I think that I would still want to do something that I was passionate about in my life to at least make me feel useful and like I left a mark on the world. I think that having a job and doing things that you love add meaning to your life even if money was not an issue. I think that I might even possibly work at a job where I didn't really care about the pay. This would help me branch out and probably go for a different type of job that didn't pay as much.

Flow 3/16/11
Altered states of consciousness play a large role in everyones life. I think that altered states and flow are an important part of everybody's life. I think that flow is an essential part to enjoying ones life. Flow is something that makes a person's life worthwhile whether they are working, performing, doing a sport, or partaking in a particular activity that interests them. I think that flow is important to a person's life because it keeps a person happy. I also think that, without flow, nobody would ever be able to truly enjoy what they are doing.
I learned a lot about meditation and hypnosis in my research. I learned that meditation is a lot more than just sitting down and relaxing. Meditation is a lot more than what I thought it was. It entails breathing and finding a place inside of one's own mid that is only comfortable to them where they aren't thinking about or stressing about anything. I think that hypnosis is a very different process because it can hypnotize a person to not want to do drugs or to stop an activity that is particularly harmful to them. I always thought that hypnotism was just about trying to make a person do something but I now know that it is much more than that.
For me to experience more flow experiences, I think that I need to find more things that I really enjoy doing. For me, I really like to write. When I get older, I would really like to partake in something in the Journalism field because I really enjoy writing. Hopefully, I will be able to experience flow periods in which I can completely focus on my work and be happy.
