Bandura Blog

My parent thinks that my cellphone, the television, my computer, and my ipod are all negative influences on me. My dad thinks that they distract me from being as great as I can be. My dad also thinks that the navigation system in my car distracts me from my driving because I often try and program it while I am driving my car. I also can agree with my dad in saying that if I wasn't as busy with technology, I could possibly do a lot better in school.

In my life, I am certain that I have imitated people that I know because I look up to them. I know that my sister is someone who I look up to a lot. When I was younger, I always used to imitate my sister and copy her. I tried to be just like her because I thought that she was so cool. I thought that she was someone that I wanted to be just like as a young child. I also know that I used to imitate some of my characters from my favorite television shows. I always watch One Tree Hill and one of the characters is named Sophia Bush or “Brook.” When I was younger and I watched the show, I used to pretend that I was Brook and that her life was mine. So to do this, I would try and dress, talk, and act like her because I liked her character so much on the television show. I also think that my mom has had a large impact on who I am As a young child and even now, I always admired my mother’s life and what she did. I wanted to and still want to be just like her when I am older in the ways she dressed, acted, worked, and cooked.
